THE HISTORY OF OUR FIRM
Satyapon
& Partners was founded in 1995 by Satyapon Sachdecha.
The firm practices exclusively in the area of intellectual
property law. The firm now has nine lawyers and seven support
staff. Most of the firm’s attorneys, including Satyapon
Sachdecha, studied law at Thammasat University, the oldest
and most renowned law school in Thailand. Four of these lawyers
are Registered Patent Agents and, two have advanced degrees
from the United States.
Before
founding the firm, Satyapon Sachdecha was admitted to the
practice of law at the age of twenty-two and practiced exclusively
in the field of intellectual property law with other well
known international law firms in Bangkok for some nine years.
In addition to his active practice, he teaches intellectual
property law at Thammasat University, Faculty of Law and,
trademark and patent laws at both the bachelor and master
degree levels at Dhurakijpundit Universitey.
He
is often invited to speak on this field by the Intellectual
Property and International Trade Court, National Police Bureau
and Department of Intellectual Propety, Minister of Commerce.
He
was appointed by the Cabinet of Ministers to serve as a Member
of the Trademark Board in 1999. This is an independent
body of knowledgeable persons who consider appeals filed against
the Registrar's decisions regarding trademark applications.
Satyapon & Partners was founded with a single, but twofold,
idea: To practice exclusively in the area of intellectual
property law and, to provide each client, large and small
with the highest standard of diligent, ethical and professional
services. This formula has served the firm well and it is
now regarded as one of the best firms in Bangkok for intellectual
property law.
The firm has been solidly rated as one of the top three Thai
firms for trademark prosecution, within the top five for patent
prosecution and is also one of the most active Thai firms
involved with enforcement of intellectual property rights.
Mr.
Sachdecha regularly attends the annual meeting held by INTA,
APAA, and AIPPI and is available to meet with agents and clients
during those meetings.
FILING
TRADEMARK AND PATENT APPLICATIONS IN OTHER COUNTIES
Satyapon
& Partners is always pleased when we have the opportunity

instructions to file over 100 trademark and patent applications
per year to our associates worldwide.
In
particular, we would like to take this opportunity to thank
our foreign associates in the ASEAN countries, the United
States, the United Kingdom, the European Community, Japan,
Korea, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the Middle East for the
kind attention they have given our client's matters.
With
our growing number of Thai clients, we hope to significantly
