SEIZURE OF FAKE GOODS

We have a team of lawyers and investigators who work closely with the police on the enforcement of our client’s intellectual property rights. They work exclusively on enforcement and are not involved with our client’s trademark and patent prosecution or other matters.

DESTRUCTION OF FAKE GOODS

Seized counterfeit and imitation goods are held in police custody until there is a final decision from the IPIT Court. The Court will then order the seized goods to be destroyed.

Students are invited to participate in the destruction to improve public awareness of intellectual property rights and laws.

LEGITIMATE MACHINERY USED TO MAKE FAKE GOODS

In some circumstances, it may be possible for the police to seize otherwise legitimate machinery, such as sewing machines, printing presses, etc., if it can be shown that such machinery was used only for unlawful purposes.
